Nuevamente tuve la oportunidad de participar en la Michifest de Guadalajara, un evento semestral donde las personas amantes de los gatos nos reunimos para celebrar el amor por los michis, promover la adopción responsable y concientizar sobre su cuidado. 😀
Once again, I had the opportunity to participate in Guadalajara’s Michifest, a bianual event where cat lovers come together to celebrate our love for kitties :3 , promote responsible adoption, and raise awareness about their care. 😀
En la edición de febrero llevé mis proyectos de WildCats y Boudika Comics, pero esta vez decidí inspirar mi mesa por completo en mi gatito Elliot. Como muchos ya saben, Elliot tiene 16 años y varios problemas de salud que avanzan con la edad. He estado recaudando fondos a través de mi arte y donaciones para cubrir su tratamiento médico, siempre con el objetivo de brindarle la mejor calidad de vida posible y que viva sin dolor hasta el día en que cruce el arcoíris. Les agradezco mucho a las personas que me han apoyado con la salud de Elliot.
In the February edition, I brought my projects WildCats and Boudika Comics, but this time I decided to base my table entirely on my cat, Elliot. As many of you already know, Elliot is 16 years old and facing several health issues that come with age. I’ve been raising funds through my art and donations to cover his medical treatment, always aiming to give him the best quality of life possible and ensure he lives pain-free until the day he crosses the rainbow bridge. I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me with Elliot’s health. <3
Una vez le tomé una foto que me dio muchísima risa porque parecía una de esas pinturas medievales de gatos. Inspirada en esa foto, armé toda la estética de mi mesa con un estilo místico, antiguo y brujil :D. Y también hice una postal con su imagen de gato medieval que llevé como cereza del pastel. ¡La verdad me encantó cómo quedó el resultado!
I once took a photo of him that made me laugh so much because he looked just like one of those medieval cat paintings xD. Inspired by that picture, I set up my entire table’s aesthetic with a mystical, vintage, witchy vibe :D. I also made a postcard with his medieval cat image as the icing on the cake. Honestly, I absolutely loved how it turned out! <3
Además, llevé un adelanto de mercancía de mi nuevo proyecto personal: Donum Lunae (El regalo de la Luna, en latín). Será una colección de 4 fanzines que narrarán cómo mis gatitos llegaron a mi vida, pero contados con un toque de fantasía.
Additionally, I brought a preview of merchandise for my new personal project: Donum Lunae (“The Gift of the Moon,” in Latin). It will be a 4-fanzine collection telling the story of how my cats came into my life, but reimagined with a touch of fantasy.
Elliot fue el primer gato con el que compartí mi vida. El proceso fue muy especial porque yo siempre había tenido perritos, pero desde que llegó nos volvimos inseparables; hasta viajamos juntos. Su historia es la primera que quiero compartirles en esta entrega 🙂 Por eso estén al pendiente de mis redes sociales para cuando anuncie las fechas de lanzamiento, ya que también las primeras personas en adquirir los paquetes medievales se llevarán regalitos súper exclusivos.
Me emociona muchísimo este proyecto porque, después de varios años, estoy retomando de lleno mi trabajo como autora. Volver a escribir e ilustrar mis propias historias bajo mi sello Boudika Comics me llena de felicidad, y muero de ganas de que conozcan estos relatos tan íntimos de mi vida con mis gatos.
Elliot was the first cat I ever shared my life with. The process was so special because I had always had dogs, but ever since he arrived, we became inseparable; we even traveled together! His story is the very first one I want to share with you in this release 🙂 So make sure to stay tuned to my social media for when I announce the launch dates 😀 , as the first people to get the medieval bundles will receive super exclusive gifts.
I’m so excited about this project because, after several years, I’m fully returning to my work as an author. Writing and illustrating my own stories again under my publishing imprint, Boudika Comics, brings me so much happiness, and I can’t wait for you to discover these intimate tales of my life with my cats.

Me voy muy feliz de haber participado. La Michifest no solo es una fiesta para los amantes de los gatos, sino un espacio con un propósito enorme: apoyar a los gatitos de la calle, promover la esterilización y recordar que cada michi merece una vida digna, feliz y amada.
I left feeling so happy to have been a part of it. Michifest isn’t just a festival for cat lovers—it’s a space with a huge purpose: helping stray kitties, promoting spaying and neutering, and reminding us that every michi deserves a happy, dignified, and loved life.
